Mobile-Enable Existing Infrastructure

With Nexus, you set up a secure, on-premise system to stream content to tablets like the iPad, even when they are outside the corporate network. The content remains in place on your existing storage, so your backup, retention, and other governance policies continue to be enforced. User policy and management is similarly maintained: if a new employee comes on board, you continue to set them up in the same way as before. Because Nexus layers on top of existing systems, all file share and content management access controls are applied consistently, whether the accessed from the LAN or externally.

Your Policy, Enforced

Corporate governance teams and management stakeholders have mandated document access policies. Your internal repositories and document management tools capture this policy, and can make access decisions based on the user account, document content, and file location, among other things. This investment, both in implementation time and infrastructure costs, is extended to the mobile workforce by Nexus. As user activity and files flow through the Nexus server, it consults the incumbent policy authority in real time. If the authority denies access, Nexus stops the traffic, ensuring that policy is enforced even for mobile users.

Enterprise Grade Security

As employees have moved to incorporate mobile devices into their daily work life, they have relied on one of the many consumer-oriented solutions such as web-based email or cloud storage, regardless of corporate mandate. The down side to this file migration is that documents leave the corporate sphere of control. Nexus recognizes the need for IT to have constant control over how documents are used and shared. All content stays within the system, and is subject to the specific controls that IT applies. Documents only leave the system if IT determines that they are safe to share.
